Hi Andrew, thanks for the kind words.
Those exterior steps are 1/4" steel that has been hot-dip galvanized.
Our fabricator says for a bunch like we made figure about $1.65 per pound.
An 8" high step weighs 7 pounds per linear foot for a running cost of $11.55 per foot.
Your price may vary but that should put you in the ballpark at least.
Please let us know how things turn out.

Good luck!

Hey there, Andrew... sorry about the comments fiasco. For some reason it was set to close all comments after 2 wks. Fixed it!

In any case, galvanized stair steps. We're researching that for you right now! David will have an answer.

Sorry to post in the wrong place but the section I was particularly interrested in was closed!

I just stumbled upon your fantastic blog!! We are currently remodelling in Los Angeles and are looking for a solution to the latest budgetary shocker that is... "Fire Access Stairs"!. Your galvanized stair shapers filled with pebbles seem perfect?

Do you have any more info/costing on these?

Thanks
